Students who have a signed permission form from a parent will take these assessments as part of Mrs. Dahlberg's Capstone Project for her Master's Degree.
Our field day will be from 1:00-3:45!
There will be water games, so the kids will need to bring towels, sunblock and water bottles. They may wear a hat during field day if they bring one. If you would like to volunteer please email me or send a note with your child. If you volunteer ALL DAY the PTA will provide lunch for you. This week we have been talking about courage and bravery. One of our stories was The Hole in the Dike so we decided to interview the main character, Peter (played by Flor). Enjoy our talk show with our host Bryan. On Tuesday March 10, we went to the Aquarium for our 2nd grade field trip! We had so much fun! We learned all about different animals (not just ocean animals). We also watched a short presentation on the Blue Whale.
During the months of November and December we worked really hard on creating a class book to be published. This is what the cover of the final product looks like! We first had to decide on what we wanted to write about. Once we had a topic each student worked so hard on writing and rewriting a few drafts before they were able to put their final draft on the publishing paper. Once all of the writing was done, each student was able to illustrate their writing. The book looks amazing!
If you didn't get a chance to purchase one I sent home another flyer today with information about buying one!
